An animal enthusiast from a very young age, Carissa was born in Connecticut before moving to Florida as a teen. After serving 4 years in the Army — where she found the courage to pursue her passion — she trained in pet grooming, mastering every role: bather, assistant, groomer, and manager. In 2020, she founded Doggo Den to recreate that warm, mom-and-pop feel — a welcoming family environment filled with compassion. “It's not a job if it's something you love!” Doggo Den is one of her proudest achievements.

A lifelong animal lover with 3 dogs of her own, Laura brings years of pet caretaking experience and a passion for quality haircuts. She's honing her hand scissoring and breed-standard skills with a long-term goal of owning her own salon.
